JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. – Jan. 29, 2008 – Vigilant Solutions (VS), a Jacksonville Beach-based company operating an enhanced version of the Transportation Security Administration’s Registered Traveler program called “Preferred Traveler”, announced it will launch its Preferred Traveler program at Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport (GPT) during a press conference on Jan. 30.
The Preferred Traveler program provides passengers who undergo a TSA-conducted security threat assessment access to a designated, expedited lane through airport security checkpoints with the use of a “smart card” containing their biometrics (fingerprints and iris images). The VS Preferred Traveler program is a unique offering not only just addressing the security and wait time issues but also providing multiple levels of additional customer benefits.
“We are very pleased that Vigilant Solutions has selected Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport to introduce its Preferred Traveler concept in Mississippi utilizing the TSA Registered Traveler Program,” said Frank Genzer, Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport Authority Chairman. “This program is designed to expedite a traveler’s security screening experience, but it also provides other amenities related to discounts and VIP privileges. Since Gulfport-Biloxi is growing quite fast in terms of passengers, introduction of Vigilant’s program is arriving at the perfect time,” said Genzer.

The Preferred Traveler program at Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport will have three levels of membership: Silver, Gold and Platinum. Silver level membership will allow access to expedited security lines across the country at participating Registered Traveler airports. The Gold level membership, in addition to the Silver level benefits, will have a “VIP parking pass – Fast Pass” allowing non-stop entry and exit for parking with automatic billing. The Platinum level membership will have all the benefits of Silver and Gold, as well as, access to a VIP Lounge and Business Center scheduled to open in 2008.
The press conference on Jan. 30 will be held at the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport at 3:00 p.m. at which time pre-enrollment will begin.
Preferred Traveler cards are accepted at Albany, NY (ALB), Cincinnati (CVG), Indianapolis (IND), Jacksonville (JAX), LaGuardia (LGA), Little Rock (LIT), Newark (EWR), New York (JFK), Orlando (MCO), Reno-Tahoe (RNO), San Francisco (SFO), San Jose (SJC) and Westchester (HPN).
